Removing a Bank Account

Follow these steps to remove a bank account from QuickBooks:

  • Log In to QuickBooks:
  • Open QuickBooks and log in to your company file.
  • Navigate to Chart of Accounts:
    • Click on "Lists" in the top menu.
    • Select "Chart of Accounts" from the drop-down menu.
  • Locate the Bank Account:
    • Scroll through the list of accounts to find the bank account you want to remove.
  • Make Sure It's Inactive:
    • Right-click on the bank account and choose "Make Account Inactive."
    • QuickBooks will prompt you to confirm. Click "Yes."
  • Remove Transactions:
